| How to Change Screen Resolution |
|
If you find that text or images on your computer are too small or too big,
you might want to adjust your screens resolution. Screen resolution is also
referred to as screen area.
The effects of adjusting resolution is
similar to zooming in and out of a Word document. Increasing screen resolution
will make images on the screen smaller. The advantage is that you will be able
to fit more items on your screen. This is a plus if you view large spread sheets
on your monitor.
Decreasing the resolution, you guessed it, makes images
larger. The advantage is that text is much easier to read. Higher resolutions
sometimes cause text to blur. |

| Note: The size of your monitor
and the type of video card you have determines how high you can raise your
resolution, and the quality of the images after it is change. If you have a 15"
or 17" monitor, images may become blurred if the screen area is larger that 800
by 600. Simply adjust the screen area until you are satisfied with the image
quality. A screen area of 800 by 600 is standard for 15" & 17" monitors. 19"
or larger monitors can go higher.
